the postcard is still alive (but not live yet), the lessons were easier than expected, and i’m still moving [and alive]

today is turning into one of those days where the work is moving slower than the thoughts, but that’s not the same thing as falling behind.

i’ve already pushed through the first chunk of fCC theory and quizzes, and honestly the first three lessons were easier than i expected; that felt good! not in some dramatic, life-changing way, just in that quiet little “oh, i’m actually getting this” kind of way that makes the rest of the day feel a little more possible.

right now, i’m on a walk break, and i’m letting myself actually take it all in instead of pretending i can brute-force the whole afternoon straight through as per usz; that matters. to me at least.

i’ve learned that if i keep my brain locked in too long without a reset, it starts doing that fake productive thing where i’m technically still sitting there but not really absorbing anything. so i’m stepping away on purpose, drinking some water, getting some air, and then i’m going back for more fCC theory, the Scale Work in Design lesson i still want to keep moving on.

the other thing sitting in the background today is the blog postcard i’ve been customizing for guerz.lol. that one is important to me because it’s not exactly just some copied lab exercise anymore. it’s starting to feel like a real piece of the site, like something that belongs in the guerz.lol universe instead of just something i finished for the sake of finishing. that’s the part i care about most. i want it to feel like mine. i want it to live on guerz.lol which will link people over to blogguerz thru the blogguerz link once it’s set up, so the whole thing feels connected instead of split into random disconnected pieces.

i also took a couple of walk-break photos today, because sometimes the pause is part of the story too.

one of them is just me sitting down for a minute with my legs stretched out, and the other is a close-up selfie from the walk itself.

nothing fancy, just a real moment from the middle of the day. i like including that kind of thing because it keeps the post honest. not every update has to be a victory lap. sometimes it’s just: i studied, i walked, i reset, and i kept going.

after this walk, i’m heading back into fCC and continuing with the ui contrast material. then, once that’s done, i’m going back to the postcard and giving it another real pass. if the night cooperates, i’m hoping to go live with it by the end of tonight.

no fake urgency, no weird hero mode, no pretending i’m doing twenty things at once. just a real day, real study, a real build, and a real chance to finish something that has been sitting in the pile for too long.

that’s the shape of the day right now: walk, water, more fCC, more notes, more postcard work, and hopefully a live post before the night is over.
