so here’s the thing about momentum: it doesn’t ask if you’re ready.
the past few days i went from
“can i even catch the fuck up?” …
to being genuinely,
actually caught up.
back on my roadmap where week six is supposed to live. i don’t fully trust it yet. good things make me suspicious. but the receipts are the receipts.
today alone:
four theory blocks of freeCodeCamp Responsive Design — what responsive web design even is and how it holds hands with CSS Grid and Flexbox, how media queries actually work, media breakpoints, and the mobile first approach. then the design a piano workshop, all thirty-one goddamn steps of it! which was the real boss fight of the day.
knocked out the quiz.
and right now i’m about a third into hand-writing my way through the review before i let myself touch the certification project.
plus my daily Coddy and Mimo reps because apparently i’m the kind of person who does that now.
Positioning? done.
Attribute Selectors? done, cert project and all.
Typography, Accessibility — all behind me.
fCC keeps handing me sections and i keep handing them back finished. it feels fucking good and i’m allowed to say that out loud.
where that puts me:
week 6 of my 24-week roadmap, deep in responsive design and CSS Grid, which is the stuff that makes a site stop looking like garbage on a phone.
next week Week 7, upcoming is coming up next and it’s the big one — Variables, aka CSS custom properties, a hundred and twenty steps of it staring at me like a dare.
i’ll be ready. or i won’t,
and i’ll do it anyway.
anyway. i’m about to go take a walk in what is objectively the worst possible part of the day, sun fully out, actively hostile, personally offended by my existence. fuck it. we ball — literally and figuratively —
