shipped a new page on guerz.lol today — an about page, plus a whole pass of context updates across the site. more on that below.
the controller that wasn’t
spent a chunk of today digging through a half dozen boxes looking for my PS4 controller. did not find it. but, i did find my Nintendo Switch controller instead, which — turns out — works totally fine over Bluetooth for Steam games. so that’s a win dressed up as a loss. the universe giving me a controller i didn’t ask for instead of the one i did!
the wordpress sidequest, quietly starting
cracked open my WordPress 101 sidequest today. mostly reading, no videos yet, handwritten notes in the notebook. slow start, but a start. it’s staying a sidequest — “never hijack[ing] the main spine” (as it says verbatim in my Obsidian note about said WP sidequest) — and today was just the first small heartbeat of it.
ai tools for stream assets: so close, then gone
spent time bouncing across a handful of AI tools trying to get some Twitch stream assets dialed in. and it’s this weird pattern — i’ll get quite there, almost exactly the thing i want, and then one more generation and it veers wildly off the rails. not frustrated about it, just noticing it happen, over and over. logging it as a pattern, not a complaint.

the study side of things
Learn CSS Foundations — theory and projects — both wrapped up last night into this morning, The Odin Project‘s freeCodeCamp Remix Course. picking back up tomorrow with Learn Specificity. not doing more studying today and that’s fine, that’s the plan working as intended.

didn’t sleep much last night if anyone is/was wondering why my energy is kinda low and passive today. don’t get me wrong; i’m not complaining nor saying that with any sort of negative connotation, just simply noticing. and honestly, after spending last night/this morning’s insomnia night with the bulk of the web dev studies i planned on doing this afternoon, today was kinda really fucking chill to be able to not be in motion all the goddamn always, and kinda just take a backseat.
