the build archive is done

i did it! i FINALLY finished all 68 builds (workshops, labs, & certification projects) for freeCodeCamp Responsive Web Design V9 Curriculum!! i rebuilt every single one from the toe up AND even added little comments in the code explaining the Learned Concepts within. feels. damn. good. took a lil over 3 months since shipping the first one, Buid a Curriculum Outline

i had Bonnie scanthe portfolio build, and there were a few bug fixes that needed attention. sorted.

the fCC forum post

[posted my second ever post to the fCC forum in their “I Built This” category. i covered all the backstory leading up to today. also asked for some feedback on (1) whether the code comments are actually useful for someone learning, and (2) the build archive’s layout and accessibility. if you want to read it, you can find it here:

fCC JavaScript: where i’m at

for the fCC JavaScript curriculum, this is how far i’ve come what is immediately ahead.

• Intro to JavaScript – done
• Intro to Strings is two-thirds done
• then, Understanding Code Clarity – two theory blocks
• then, first workshop – “Build a Greeting Bot“

so far, everything has been clicking in Intro to JS and Intro to Strings. i find that as long as i take my time, i’m pretty set, especially writing everything down.

Full Sail

All of this week’s assignments and discussion assignments are finished including 1 of 2 assignments that are due by Sunday November 8 11:58PM. then one more due the same day, same time, same 8% weight, already started and likely done tomorrow. the first one due Sunday is titled and about Industry Terms and the next one due is titled and about Industry Jobs.

the build archive and JavaScript

i’m likely going to extend the fCC Build Archive to cover JS as well. i don’t know what that’ll look like just yet, but i would like that to happen.

everything else today

my fucking STUDIO MONITORS finally came in today! after about a month of shipping fiasco, it felt good for this day to come and to test out the speakers with Untold’s new EP Crop Milk.

soooo yeah, very fantastically, excitingly rewarding day today! i hope for more days like this to come.
