{decompress} is waking up
it’s been quiet over here on the decks. too quiet. the kind of quiet where you start wondering if the thing you loved is still yours, or if it quietly packed up and left while you were busy surviving.
turns out it was just waiting.
{decompress} was never about being polished. it’s about making room. room to breathe, room to drift, room to slam two songs together that have no business being in the same room and somehow make it work.
genre fluid.
that’s the whole point. and i cannot fucking WAIT to spread it all over the world again.
when?
i’m gonna try to stream tomorrow. or sunday.
and if it doesn’t happen this weekend?
that’s okay.
i’m learning (slowly, stubbornly, against every instinct i have) that “not yet” isn’t the same as “never.” soon. most definitely soon. the box came. the controller’s here. the rest is just me getting out of my own way.

quick one, because the controller is the headline and i refuse to bury it:
- the about page has a new resident: Jeffran, a molting penguin in purple headphones, coding away with the ))<>(( logo on his laptop. he replaced the hex. the hex is fine. it still lives on the homepage. nobody got fired.
- more inline css dragged out of the html and into the one stylesheet where it belongs. less mess for future-me to trip over.
- the sandbox got reorganized: “cold builds” is now HTML & CSS Fundamentals, every build has its own HTML / CSS tag now, and my The Odin Project builds moved over there with it. the archive is pure freeCodeCamp now, and TOP gets its own corner.
- the toolshed got revised tools and an honest little note about who built what.
one page at a time. that’s the rule. it’s working.
